We the People – Album I

Composer's Notes

This Album was recorded in 1972 at the Kent State Recital Hall with Jon Horning as the engineer. Following the groups succession from the “Up with People” Movement, “Sing-out Kent” became “We the People” and began creating their own repertoire. Over the many years of its existence, the group, consisting of 60 to 80 high school and college aged students, wrote and presented nearly 100 songs addressing the issues prevalent in the turbulent times of the 1970s.
