Composer's Notes

The musical allegory “Alice in Blunderland”, Reflections of a Nuclear Age  was written by Tim and Tom DeFrange in 1983.  It was performed over 150 times by the original cast for over 60,000 people in Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.  Its purpose was to awaken everyone to the dangers of nuclear proliferation and radioactivity and inspire them to positive action. Using “production kits, over 105 casts in 36 states, the District of Columbia, Australia, Japan, and Pakistan have produced Alice in Blunderland in their communities, making an inspiring intergenerational statement for peace. Below is the complete musical as performed at the First Community Church in Columbus, Ohio in 1985.
